Beste Egel-Weiss

Beste supports clients on a wide range of transactional matters across entertainment, media and technology industries with strategic counsel and pragmatic legal solutions. At Klaris Law, Beste combines her transactional expertise with her passion for supporting the creative industries and the arts. She works with creators, production companies, and digital platforms to help them navigate issues of content licensing, financing, distribution and other day-to-day business and legal affairs.

Before joining Klaris Law, Beste worked at Latham & Watkins in New York as a finance associate, representing financial institutions in leveraged finance transactions. She started her legal career at Clifford Chance in Istanbul, where she focused on mergers and acquisitions, antitrust and general corporate work. Drawing on her experience with complex corporate and financing transactions, Beste brings a strong transactional foundation and a nuanced understanding of how creative enterprises operate within multifaceted commercial and regulatory frameworks.

Beste holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, an LL.B. from Galatasaray University and studied abroad at the University of Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne). She is admitted to practice in both New York and Turkey. Outside of work, Beste is an avid follower of fashion, a lifelong dancer, and an enthusiast of new films and theater productions.
